AC/DC’s music video for the song “Thunderstruck” has surpassed one billion views on YouTube. The David Mallet-directed clip, which was uploaded to YouTube in November of 2012, was filmed at London’s Brixton Academy on August 17, 1990.
“Thunderstruck” was the lead single from AC/DC’s 1990 album The Razors Edge. The song reached No. 5 on the U.S. Billboard Mainstream Rock chart.
AC/DC’s “Thunderstruck” joins other notable artists who have made it to the Billion Views Club: Metallica’s “Nothing Else Matters,” Guns N’ Roses’ “Sweet Child O’ Mine” “November Rain,” and Queen’s “Bohemian Rhapsody.”
